M-B COMEDY #174: THE FUTURE IS FUNNY (EPISODE 6)

20.00

Guelph’s feminist comedy show.

The Future Is Funny celebrates and represents the funny women in our community, and the comedy community at large. This bi-monthly show features an all-woman and non-binary lineup of sketch, improv, stand-up and a little special something something.

HEADLINER: REBECCA REEDS
You may have seen a recent clip of Rebecca’s stand-up called “Don’t Have Kids” which was viewed 2.1 million times on CBC Comedy. In addition to her appearances on radio and television, Rebecca has performed at festivals across the country including Toronto’s JFL42, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, SheDot, and the Cottage Country Comedy Festival.

FEATURING: PHLEGM FATALES

The Phlegm Fatales are an all female/non-binary improv troupe and they are sickening. Hayley Kellett, Clarissa Shepherd, Kayla Simms, Emily Vance and Erin Watson formed this troupe after meeting at The Making-Box in 2019. These five fierce feminists are here to celebrate and share their voice through strangeness, truth and hopefully laughter that shoots snot rockets from your nostrils - consensually of course.

FEATURING: LUBA MAGNUS

Luba Magnus is a rising talent in the Toronto Comedy scene, with a unique style mixing her comedy with music and drawings. She has toured across Canada, been heard on Sirius XM, appeared at the 2017 and 2018 SheDot Festivals, and was recently nominated as a “Breakout Comic of the Year” at the annual I Heart Jokes awards.
