Congratulations, you completed February. Announcing March Live Comedy!

The days are getting longer, which means you don’t need to stay cooped up in your house on Friday nights anymore. Our comedy line-up for March is looking bright as the spring season ahead.

We’re very excited to have for the very first time on of Canada’s finest new stand-ups, Pat Burscher. Pat has been part of Home Grown Comics at Montreal’s prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in 2018 which aired nationally on the Comedy Network. Pat’s also performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Singapore Comedy Fringe and as part of New Faces at JFL 42.

Six improv duos will enter the building. Only one will leave with bragging rights, and the weirdest shaped trophy you’ve ever seen. Duo to the Death will reignite to bring you all the improv action you love with the added bonus of you being a ruthless judge who cuts any group you don’t want to see anymore. Come see it after the Friday edition of 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche.

Come have your fill of food-inspired comedy!

Our amateur night has been consistently packed with new comedy and is quickly becoming a favourite show of ours. People try new funny things, whether those things work or not, isn’t important. Because being bold is always worth celebrating! Want to get on stage? Email braeden@themakingbox.ca and nab a spot now we’re already booking into May.

FRI. MARCH 29 - M-B COMEDY #182: GUELPH ACTUALLY (AN IMPROVISED LOVE STORY)

Last month, we brought back a show that not everyone had the chance to see. Just because we love you, we’re bringing it back one more time. The Brigade will improvise a full romantic comedy based on suggestions from the audience. Whether you want a happy story or joy, or a sad heartbreaking tale, the choice is up to you. Either way, you’re going to love this show.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

This dark and cold winter is almost over, and what better way to celebrate the new spring cheer, with a new spring activity! There’s a reason people can’t get enough of improv class and that we’ve been growing our population every season. New friends, new level of confidence and oh, so much fun when you sign up for Level One in Guelph and Kitchener.

And if you have a child who could benefit from the joys of improv. Don’t hesitate to sign them up for March Break camp, there’s a few spots left for kids age 6-13!
