SEVEN/EIGHT WEEKS - ONE SHOWCASE
Flex a whole new set of muscles in this Musical Improv Incubator Class. Discover how to support your scene partners in new ways by creating your own score to scenes, committing to emotions and finding the joy in silent stagecraft. Build new relationships on stage with a live accompanist and learn to use your voice more effectively. Warm up your pipes, and get ready to belt it out in this class! This level includes a student showcase.
What is covered: Improvised solo songs, duets, group songs and soundscapes. Physical improv and silent improv. Creating an ensemble to include live accompaniment. Vocal strengthening.
Who it is for: graduates of/currently enrolled in LEVEL THREE or those who have permission from Director, Hayley Kellett (firstname.lastname@example.org)

About Chris New: Chris New is a musical director, composer, and writer. He worked as a musical director with Second City for 6 years and some of his credits include "Miracle on Mercer Street", "The Bench", and "Second City goes BOOM!". Chris has played for countless shows across the Toronto improv community. He also scores the award-winning podcast “Illusionoid,” and has scored for film, most notably the Canadian Comedy Award-winning film “Chere.”
